KETO BRUSSEL SPROUT INGREDIENTS
Before you try to make this recipe, you’ll want to make sure you have the following ingredients on hand first.
- 1 bag/package Brussel sprouts
- 1/2 cup butter
- 4 tbsp minced garlic
- salt and pepper, to taste
After you have all of this, you’re set and ready to cook!
HOW TO MAKE KETO GARLIC BUTTER BRUSSEL SPROUTS
- Slice sprouts in half longways
- Heat non-stick skillet over medium heat
- Add butter, garlic, and sliced sprouts to the skillet
- Saute sprouts until a leave edges start to crisp and brown
- Add salt and pepper, to taste
- Serve and enjoy!
CAN I USE FROZEN BRUSSEL SPROUTS INSTEAD OF FRESH?
You can. You’ll need to let them thaw before trying to slice them, of course.
If they are in a steamer bag, you could always put them into the microwave for half the time called for to warm them.
DON’T BRUSSEL SPROUTS HAVE A BITTER TASTE?
While sprouts do have a bit of a bitter taste, that usually goes away when they are cooked and soften.
HOW TO STORE LEFTOVER KETO BRUSSEL SPROUTS
Storing your leftover Brussel sprouts is super simple! Simply place them into an air-tight storage container and place them into the microwave.
Like most vegetables, Brussel spouts won’t taste great the longer they sit, so it’s best to discard any leftovers you may have after a few days.
REHEATING BRUSSEL SPROUT LEFTOVERS
Reheating keto brussel sprouts isn’t difficult, but there are a couple of different ways you can go about it.
USING THE MICROWAVE
The quickest and easiest way to reheat Brussel sprouts is (of course) in the microwave.
Heat whatever sprout leftovers you want in 30-second increments until the desired temperature is reached.
Usually, it doesn’t take very long to reheat them, so a minute or so in the microwave should do the trick!
USING THE OVEN
Preheat your oven to 350˚F and place your Brussel sprouts into an oven-safe baking sheet. Heat for 5 minutes, then check for the desired temperature.
If the Brussel sprouts aren’t heated through yet, continue to heat in the oven in three-minute increments until the desired level of temperature is reached.
