WHAT IS LOW-CARB SPICY ROASTED BROCCOLI?

Spicy roasted broccoli is a delicious (and nutritious!) side dish recipe that involves roasting broccoli coated in red pepper flakes in the oven.

If you are a fan of ultra spicy food, you can even add extra red peppers flakes (or another spice, if you’d like) to make it the spicy side dish of your dreams!

SPICY ROASTED BROCCOLI INGREDIENTS

Before you try to make this recipe, make sure you have the following ingredients on hand first.

  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup crushed red pepper flakes
  • 2 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1/2 tbsp pink Himalayan salt
  • 1 tsp fresh ground black pepper

After you have all of this, you’re set and ready to go!

HOW TO MAKE SPICY ROASTED BROCCOLI

  1. Preheat oven to 350˚F
  2. Place all ingredients in a large mixing bowl and toss until all broccoli florets are well coated in spices and olive oil
  3. Spread evenly on a baking sheet and place into the oven
  4. Cook for 15 minutes, then remove and toss the florets
  5. Place back into the oven and cook for another 15 minutes, or until florets just begin to crisp
  6. Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes before serving
  7. Enjoy!

HOW TO MAKE THIS RECIPE SPICIER

If you’d like to make this recipe the spicy side dish of your dreams, you can simply add more red pepper flakes when tossing the broccoli.

You can also sprinkle extra pepper flakes onto the broccoli when you remove from the oven to add extra heat to it. 

STORING LEFTOVER LOW-CARB SPICY ROASTED BROCCOLI

Storing these spicy broccoli florets is super easy!

All you need to do is to any leftovers them into an air-tight container and place them into the refrigerator.

They will keep for several days so you can eat them as leftovers. However, after 4 – 5 days, it would be best to discard any remaining leftovers to be safe. 

REHEATING SPICY ROASTED BROCCOLI

Reheating your leftover broccoli is super easy, too! 

Pop whatever serving you’d like (or all of the leftovers) into the microwave and heat until the desired temperature is reached.
