WHAT IS KETO CHEESY BACON CAULIFLOWER RICE?

Keto cheesy bacon and cauliflower rice is a savory dish consisting of exactly what its name implies: cheese, cauliflower rice, and bacon.

It makes the perfect side dish for all kinds of main courses. Or, it can serve as a main course all by itself.

WHAT IS CAULIFLOWER RICE?

Cauliflower rice is cauliflower florets that have been chopped, food processed, or otherwise turned into a consistency very similar to that of rice. It is a favorite of anyone looking to eat fewer carbs, more vegetables, or a “lighter” diet.

Cauliflower makes a great substitute for white rice. When cooked, it doesn’t have a strong taste and can easily take on the taste of any sauces or spices used in the recipe.

You can now readily find cauliflower rice in grocery stores and supermarkets in pre-packaged containers. There are several brands of frozen cauliflower rice, and you might even be able to find it made in store.

However, its always best to make your own to avoid chemicals and achieve a super fresh taste!

STORING LEFTOVER BACON CAULIFLOWER RICE

Storing your leftover keto cheesy bacon cauliflower rice is super easy!

As we always suggest, use glass storage containers for containers that are not only versatile, but can be used in the oven as well.

Obviously, you can use whatever storage containers you may have on hand.

Place the leftovers into the refrigerator where they can stay for 3 – 4 days. If you don’t eat them within that timeframe, it’s probably best to discard them.

REHEATING KETO CHEESY BACON CAULIFLOWER RICE

Being able to reheat leftovers is always super handy for making your recipes go the extra mile. This cauliflower rice is no exception, as you can easily reheat it for eating another time.

There are several options for reheating this cauliflower rice. Let’s take a look at them below.

IN THE MICROWAVE

The quickest and easiest way to reheat anything is in the microwave. Microwaving can, however, make some dishes taste differently, especially those with meat such as beef or chicken.

This dish, however, is easily microwaved.

Simply place your leftovers into a microwave-safe dish. Microwave on high in 30 second increments, stirring in between, until the rice reaches your desired temperature.

Eat and enjoy!

IN THE OVEN

Another easy way to reheat your leftover rice is in the oven. Reheating in the oven heats the food more slowly removing the risk for drying it out or making it tough or chewy.

Preheat your oven to 350˚F. Place your leftovers into an oven-safe dish and place into the oven. Stir every 3 – 5 minutes until the mixture reaches your desired temperature.

A slower method, for sure, but one many still prefer over a microwave.
