WHAT ARE GRAHAM CRACKERS?

Graham crackers are a sweet, crunchy, and flavorful cracker perfect for eating as a snack or as part of a meal. The crackers are normally honey or cinnamon flavored.

Traditional graham crackers are made with flour, sweetened with sugar, brown sugar, or honey, and contain tons of added ingredients.

This recipe, however, gets rid of the sugars and wheat flours to make a low carb, keto graham cracker perfect for anyone who has been missing this delicious cracker!

Before you try to make this delicious graham cracker recipe, make sure you have the following ingredients on hand first.

After you have all of this, you’re set and ready to bake!

HOW TO MAKE KETO GRAHAM CRACKERS

  1. Preheat oven to 325˚F
  2. In a food processor, combine all dry ingredients and pulse a few times
  3. Then, add all wet ingredients and process until well mixed and a dough forms
  4. Place the mixture into the refrigerator for 15 minutes to chill
  5. Remove dough from refrigerator and place between two sheets of wax or parchment paper
  6. Using a rolling pin, thin the dough until it is close to 1/8 inches thick
  7. Transfer the dough to a baking sheet lined with a silicone baking liner
  8. Using a pizza cutter, cut the dough into graham cracker sized pieces
  9. Place into the oven for 15 – 20 minutes or until the crackers start to turn golden
  10. Remove from oven and let cool for at least 10 minutes before trying to break apart
  11. Break cookies apart and allow to cool completely
  12. Eat and enjoy!

CAN GRAHAM CRACKERS BE FROZEN?

These graham crackers can be frozen for a short amount of time if necessary.

Simply put them into freezer Ziploc bags, seal tightly and place them into the freezer. They should easily keep for a few weeks to a few months.

To use them, remove from the freezer and let thaw at room temperature for several hours. Remove from the baggie and enjoy!

STORING LOW CARB GRAHAM CRACKERS

These low carb graham crackers can be easily stored in an air-tight container. They can be stored at room temperature or in the fridge if you’d prefer.

They can be kept for up to 5 days and should be discarded after this time to be safe.

ARE THESE GRAHAM CRACKERS GLUTEN-FREE?

Yes, they absolutely are. Since we aren’t using wheat-based flours or other wheat-based ingredients, these keto graham crackers are totally gluten-free!

They will crumble some (more like break apart into small pieces), but not as much as a regular graham cracker would.

@Logan Childress, you could try a egg substitute like chia seeds mixed with a bit of water ( let sit 5 minutes til they jell up ) then add to recipe...I do this a lot as an egg substitute to replace 1 egg I use 1Tabl spoon chia seed to about 3Tabl spoons of water. Of course chia seeds add protein and if you can have them are a wonderful healthy addition. Just my 2 cents worth. 😁

You can *probably* skip the egg, but you'll want to triple the coconut oil at the very least. The job of the egg here is to bind and hold it all together so when you don't have that, results may vary.
